Container transport
Another specialty is the transport of maritime containers, providing a vital link between our European logistics terminals and the major seaports in the Benelux. We make the difference by offering great flexibility and massive container trucking capacity.
Fleet
In the Benelux, we operate a fleet of 300 of our own trucks, we have 150 trusted subcontractors and over 750 container trailers. This fleet enables us to pick-up and/or deliver large quantities of containers within a very short timeframe. On an average day, we transport more than 2.000 maritime containers. These may be all kinds of maritime containers: standard dry 20 and 40 ft containers, bulk containers, high cube containers, reefer containers, open-top containers, flat racks, etc. In addition, we provide transport administration and customs formalities.
Extra container services
In addition to road transport, we offer multi-modal container transport solutions by sea, inland waterways and rail. Last but not least, Katoen Natie supplies multiple container services: bonded and non-bonded container storage, stuffing and stripping, fumigation, lashing and securing, SOLAS weighing, container repair and maintenance, etc.
